Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Web Reveal, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Use of Service

You agree to:

  • Use the service only for lawful purposes
  • Only submit URLs for websites that you own or for which you have explicit authorisation to scan
  • Not use the service to access, probe, or harvest protected, private, or proprietary content without the website owner's permission
  • Not attempt to bypass any security measures, access controls, or robots.txt restrictions
  • Not use the service to harm or abuse others
  • Respect rate limits and usage restrictions

3. Scanning Scope and Limitations

Web Reveal analyses only publicly accessible HTTP responses. This means:

  • We fetch the single URL you submit and inspect the HTML content, HTTP response headers, and DNS records that are returned publicly by the web server
  • We do not access, probe, store, or otherwise process password-protected pages, admin panels, configuration files (such as .env or wp-config.php), source-code repositories, database contents, or any other content not intended for public access
  • We do not crawl or follow links beyond the URL you submit
  • We respect each website's robots.txt directives — if a website's robots.txt disallows scanning of the requested path, the scan will be blocked

Technology signals (e.g. framework names, version numbers) detected by Web Reveal are derived solely from information that the target web server voluntarily includes in its public response. We make no attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise access any proprietary backend logic.

4. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Web Reveal are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark laws.

6. Limitation of Liability

Web Reveal is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service.

7. Data Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that technology detection results are 100% accurate or complete.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
